Brent Easton joins BEN staff as publisher

Murphysboro native Brent Easton joins The Benton Evening News staff today as publisher of that newspaper and the Christopher Progress. Easton, 41, has been publisher of The Randolph County Herald Tribune and Steeleville Ledger in Randolph County for six years. At Benton, he replaces Danny Malkovich, who passed away Feb. 18 of this year.
